Fourpoints by Sheraton Seoul Gangnam
Rising 21 stories over the fashionable Sinsa-Dong district of Gangham-Gu, Seoul, this luxury Four Points by Sheraton hotel encompasses a prime corner location with scenic views to the Han River, Nangsam Tower, and street-level access to the most active areas in Seoul.
With a prism-like massing inspired by the shape of gold bullion and reflective of the owners’ intent to provide the highest level of luxury experience for guests, the hotel “nests” upon retail space and a public plaza that fronts one of the city’s busiest intersections. Public space at the street-level lobby is oriented as a prominent corner to attract pedestrians and passersby. The hotel’s 206 rooms are crowned by a top level of penthouses with open-air terraces overlooking one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the world.
The building’s trapezoidal design maximizes outside street views for the hotel units while also giving a larger street presence when viewed from the outside. Completely enclosed by a glass curtain wall facade, the building appears to change color with the passing of the day and the ever-changing kinetic energy of Gangham-Gu.
